Building a sewage treatment plant with a productivity of up to 7,5m3 per day - such as the household- adjacent sewage treatment plants produced by Marie-Polyester - requires announcing the planned building process in the District or County Office at least 30 days before the planned beginning of installation (Official Journal of Laws n. 80, 2003 pos. 718 art. 29 sec.1 pt. 3, art. 30 sec. 1 pt. 1) If the amount of sewage channeled into the plant does not exceed 5m3 per day the permission of a proper local environmental protection inspector is not required (Journal of Laws n. 75/02 pos. 690 par 26) Putrefactive settling tank may be situated in direct proximity of a building (Journal of Laws n. 75/02 pos. 690 par 37) Flues for gravitational ventilation (venting the plumbing system of the putrefactive settling tank) should be tight, with a diameter of at least 11 cm. and channeled above the roof to a height preventing the disruption of the current, at least 0,6 m. above the edge of the roof ridge.
