- very low weight of composite structures, which for comparable elements equals only 10% of a reinforced concrete structure, about 20% of a steel structure, and about 25% of a  malleable cast iron structure. - high durability and infallibility of composite elements visible e.g. in resistance to corrosion and ultraviolet radiation connected ageing .

 Research conducted in American and Scandinavian laboratories proved that the life expectancy of laminates is no less then 50 years of use, after which time the decline in resistance qualities appears at about 20% level, meaning that resistance after 50 years equals at least 80%  of the initial resistance.
